Emerging Designer: Charlotte Hess

"I love yarn!" - Charlotte Hess

Last night at Charleston Fashion Week, Emerging Designer finalist, Charlotte Hess, rocked my stilettos off! It is no wonder the judges panel (which included fashion badasses Fern Mallis and Derek Blasberg), chose Hess as the overall winner of the Emerging Designer competition. This young lady clearly has an innate talent of working with raw materials to make some of the most intricate and beautiful garments you have laid eyes on. She also puts together one fantastic collection with a cohesiveness in presentation that you normally find with more seasoned designers. Hess claims that she would like to have a designer like Stlla McCartney to

pick up on her work. Girl, I hope she does too!
